本片的主人公是一名地铁剪票员（内田裕也饰），他对乏味的工作感到厌烦却又无力改变。他有一个普通平凡的家庭，育有一子一女，生活过得平平淡淡。在一个暴雨夜里，他救了一名险被强奸的少女，两个人因此而相识，他内心的欲望被唤醒，他的生活也因此悄悄发生了改变。 有一天，在他准备了所有作案工具后，他跟踪一名年轻漂亮的独居女性回家，得知她住处后，在夜里潜入她公寓实施迷奸。以后一到夜里，他就先用药物将她迷晕，再潜入家里对其进行迷奸，而且还替她准备早餐，帮她打扫房间。后来他开始潜入多个独居女性的公寓，迷奸后还给昏睡的她们一一拍照留念。他剪短了头发，辞掉了工作，用照片来记录少女裸露的身体姿态…

However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
