本片由章回形式提出七个敏感又尖锐的性话题：《春药管用么？》导演伍迪·艾伦WoodyAllen亲自扮演佞人小丑，迷奸皇后未果而断送性命；《什么是兽交？》中事业有成的医生爱上一只母羊黛茜；《女人为何性冷淡》讲述性冷淡的新婚妻子只有在公众场合才会性欲爆发；《异装癖者是同性恋么？》里结发夫妻访友，丈夫却偷穿女性服装，上演一场暴露在大庭广众下的尴尬闹剧；第五段《什么是性异常？》设定在公开各自性怪癖的电视脱口秀节目中；其后的《性学博士可信么？》伍迪·艾伦重新登场，阻止了扬言改造人类性器官的性学教授的疯狂实验；最后的故事《射精是怎么回事？》更是把做爱的全过程演绎成如操纵机器般步步可eee。 本片根据大卫·鲁本医生《你想知道的性问题》一书改编。

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
